The Evening Parade

When I was a young Marine stationed at Quantico, Virginia, I had many opportunities to visit the Marine Barracks at 8th and I streets, Washington, DC, to see the Evening Parade. This is excerpts from the last parade of the 2007 season. Watching it makes me very proud to have served in the Corps.

The most moving part of this is the last 2 minutes or so during Retreat. At least for me it is.....

Thank you for this!! You KNOW I bawled like a baby - lots of good memories of a certain time in our lives. But I had to replay it to double check - what is with the Hymn and NO TAG????? Who had that cluster F&*K??? But seriously, thanks again. I have very special memories of 'my life' in the Corps and still stand at attention every time I hear the it. Maybe we could send this up to TOP.

It doesn't matter that the Hymn isn't in this video. It was Retreat that really caught me by surprise....

The Hymn is in the video - they just don't play the tag ending. In my humble drummer's opinion, the Hymn is not complete withour it!!!!
