I am watching this story on television as I write this post.
It's a disgrace. I don't know what other word to use. Our military should be taking better care of its troops, and they're not. When a soldier or Marine is sent to a combat zone multiple times after a diagnosis of depression or PTSD, there are a few things that have to be considered: first, the medications they are prescribed have the ability to alter one's judgment. Second, this very fact makes these guys a liability to both themselves and to the people they serve with. Third, it's not fair to anyone over there when this happens.
It's understandable that some of these men would have to deal with problems like this. With the things they see every day, it's not a surprise that backlash happens. But they shouldn't be made to go back to a place where they have to endure it over and over again.
