Going Ahead

I am in a good place right now.

Before I forget – for those of you who follow this blog and are Moms, a belated Happy Mother’s Day to you all. I apologize for not doing this yesterday, but I was wiped out and spent a chunk of the day just resting. Slept a fair amount. Watched some silly television programming. Since Martha had to work (I wasn’t pleased, but it is what it is) there wasn’t a lot for me to do and I had no energy for anything else.

I am one PT visit away from being done with that. And it feels good. When I see the Orthopedic surgeon this Thursday I expect he will cut me loose – I’ll ask him to write the return-to-work orders so that they’re gradual instead of my being hit all at one time. That way I won’t be working an 80 hour week when I return. If that were to happen, it would be bad indeed.

As far as the whole work situation is concerned, I got a call from the scheduler at Cataldo today. He wanted to get an idea as to when he can expect to see me back. So, I filled him on what was going on. Plus, I got a handle on the weekend in July when the 3-Day is happening so that I could request it off. With any luck, things will fall into place as they should. I can only hope I’m right about that. If not, then I’ll have to use Plan B. Problem is that I don’t have one yet...

Last thing to do today is to start working on putting my office back together. I hope it doesn’t take long, but I sort of suspect it will. Mainly because of where everything is – it all needs to be re-arranged and sorted out. It won’t be bad; just tedious.

No worries - as much as I'd like to think I'm still 21, I know I'm not. The last 8 months have taught me at least that.... ;-)
