Independence Day

Today is the 233rd anniversary of the birth of a nation: The United States of America.

A few things:

First, a heartfelt “Thank You” to all of the men and women who are currently in harm’s way. Regardless of your feelings about the situation over in the Desert, these people are willingly putting it all on the line for the rest of us. Take a minute to think about that.

Second, another “Thank You” for those who are here locally keeping the rest of us safe. Our police officers, firefighters, and EMS providers – none of you are forgotten, at least by the likes of me.

Third, a link to the document that started it all. I didn’t see any reason to re-invent the wheel, so I figured I would simply point to it. Hat tip to TOTWTYTR for this.

Stay safe today, and enjoy. Happy Fourth.
