Glimpses

I am falling, like

Icarus, on wings of wax

Back onto the Earth

---

The end of the world

Is not as far as it seems

When it is up close

---

Mist, like a blanket

Covers the ground. I am

In its silken grasp

---

Fall has arrived now

A stiff wind from the west

Clears the old away

Walt! Extraordinary haiku! Simply beautiful and soooooo evocative. Loved them! I guess getting way overtired and then a little rest must do something marvelous to the poetic part of your brain!!! Difficult journey, but wow oh wow, what a result! Thank you for posting these. Beautiful way to start my day.

Very lovely Walt, great use of words, love the phrase "I am in its silken grasp" and then the reference to Autumn. You must keep this up - very nice indeed!
