Ugly

The only word I can think of to describe the shit snow storm that is falling outside. I think we're at about 12 inches as I write this. Driving home from church this morning we were in a virtual white-out on I-93; we had maybe 3-4 car-lengths of visibility while we were traveling. It was pretty bad. On the other hand, there were lots and lots of people out and about doing their Christmas shopping. We stopped to do some odds-and-ends stuff at the Mall of New Hampshire on our way home, and I was absolutely blown away at the number of people there. Getting out of the parking lot was actually more difficult than arriving there, too. But that's another story.

It seems to be getting a little easier to walk. I find that especially in the early part of the day it is more difficult than later on. I think it's because I warm up a bit over time and everything just loosens up. I also think that perhaps the wound area might actually be starting to cut me a little slack, in terms of pain and discomfort. The biggest obstacle to healing, though, is simply time. There is nothing I can do about that, and I work on accepting that every day when I wake up. Some days, however, are easier than others.

In my aimless Web puttering, I discovered something recently that adds to my surfing pleasure: Hulu. Lots of recent and not-so-recent television and movies out there, and it's pretty funny because not only is there a lot of recent programming, but I found some classics as well. I've always been a big fan of the series Adam-12, and it was a pleasant surprise to find the first 4 seasons of a show I watched as a kid up there. Brought back some memories when I checked out the episodes they have available. But you have to be careful: it can be addicting.

We got the same here. In fact some church services were cancelled. While we attended church it was a little tricky getting there. New England is known for its hills, so it was turtle slow. Didn't go to the malls, got gift cards instead. They can buy what they want instead. Healing will come hang in there.

Lots of church services cancelled up this way today. Even though we ended up at the mall, we did pick up gift cards - for our daughters.

Thanks for the good words. I know it will come; I've learned not to pray for patience anymore because I am afraid I will get it. :)

Thanks for reminding me about Hulu. I don't waste enough time on the computer as is. Sheesh.
