Food And Fire

“Tell me what you eat and I’ll tell you what you are.”

I simply could not resist putting this up. It is one of my favorite pieces of culinary theatre – between the hokey voice over-dubbing and the insane things that they did on the Japanese version of the show, I found it incredibly entertaining.

The other thing I liked was what I thought to be ingenious use of music from the “Backdraft” movie soundtrack. It was very well done.

Enjoy.

Funny stuff! Surreal, though, music from "Backdraft" in this Japanese Ironchef clip! It's inspired me, though, to go watch that fine film again. Not when I'm trying to get to sleep, though, when I do most of my movie watching. That's the time when I look for minimal drama or slow moving films. Even stopped with the foreign films as I find myself trying too hard to understand the dialogue! Whaddya going to do (sigh)...just the best you can. Thanks for the fun posts!

The original Iron Chef was great, and I never missed an episode. Still watch it when I remember on the "Fine Living Channel" or whatever it's called.

My fantasy was to be a judge on that show. But then, they seemed to use a lot of shell fish, and like you, I'm very allergic. It's awful to live in New England and be allergic to lobster, isn't it?

Didn't realize music was from "Backdraft" soundtrack, but it has to be appropriate, right?
