One For My Baby (And Another One For The Road)

I haven’t put one of these up in a while… With that in mind, one of my friends and I were talking about Frank Sinatra and songs of his that we liked. My friend loves the song “Summer Wind.” I like that one also – it goes down really smooth, in a manner of speaking.

I like this one. Definitely mine…

One cannot have everything...hearing the ocean waves not far from the front door, but with only dial up I can't access online videos/audios. Savoring time here and listening to the Sinatra tune in my head. Nobody could phrase like Sinatra or artfully bend a pitch in a way that would otherwise make you nutty if someone else did it that way. If you haven't heard his "It Ain't Easy Being Green", I'm sure there's a performance of it somewhere online. Sure, it makes you think of Kermie at first, but there's a far deeper meaning to it. Some of his later, more wistful stuff has such a poignant flavor. Just not "When I was 17"...too much schmaltz. Thanks for this tune. I look forward to checking it out more than just in my head on our return :-)
